This picture has a lot of personal meaning for me. In 2015, Mom and I decided to take my dad up to Yosemite for one last trip in April because he was dying. Dad was not a religious man, but if he were Yosemite was his idea of heaven. On the morning after we arrived in the valley I rose early to walk the meadow to take some pictures. Everything was so fresh from the rain the night before. As I knelt down to pick up a rock to skip I noticed the sunlight in the water, looked up and saw the beautiful scene. This was dad’s favorite picture.
